The host was a cool young guy which very chill. You can check-in by your self. He write all guest name in front of the room and just pick the key. Luckily I got the most front room which can see Fuji from inside my room that is the best room I ever got in Fuji area. The facility also in top tier. You get your owned heater air-con in room and also additional another cool heater blower which can blow into blanket and cloth. The room was big the biggest I get to stay in my whole 14 days trip in Japan.

A great guesthouse in the lakes area! We're so glad we didn't stay in the much busier Kawaguchi lake area and stayed here, where it was far quieter and laid-back. The owners are a lovely couple who are well travelled and clearly know how to run the perfect guesthouse with a chilled hostel-like atmosphere. Our room was lovely, our first traditional Japanese style room. The whole place is spotlessly clean, warm, and cosy. We also loved the common area with kotatsu (like a Spanish brasero), books, and large, well-equipped kitchen.

The owner and his family were super welcoming and friendly. The place looks a bit old as the business has been running for a long time, but for us that's what a traditional Japanese inn should be like and thus it was just great. It's a few minutes walk from the lake as well. The hot bath was a big plus after a long day outside during winter. The food was amazing! Better to check their website for more information and contact the owner directly to make a reservation :)

Everything! This was a delightful cottage in a great location. It was a huge advantage that we had a hire car but I don’t know how often the local bus service would come to this area. To be able to drive 3 minutes around the lake to see sunset and sunrise on Mt Fuji was unbelievable.

The host Allen was super responsive with communication, thoughtful and welcoming. There is a team to welcome and support too, they are very professional and helpful. Everything about the stay experience was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. If only we stayed for more days. I don't normally leave reviews but this one is a gem! Highly recommended

It is a big and warm hut near to Lake Yamanakako, my parents slept in the room and we slept in the tatami area. You can cook/BBQ, there is small bath tub too:) The welcome drink coffee is tasty too!
