Everything was perfect! The rooms were clean and spacious. でらさん was very nice and super helpful and gave everyone various maps and information about morioka and iwate. The kitchen is also very well equipped and the guesthouse is in a nice old part of the city.

Absolute attention to every detail. We travelled from Kyoto all the way to Shikitei because we hoped it would be a memorable experience in a traditional Ryokan. It did not disappoint. Every staff member was extremely helpful, the food was outstanding, the room was spotless and our private open air onsen was to die for. They were also very accommodating for our one year old son, providing toys, baby yukata, and a variety of meals. Shikitei was the highlight of our 17 day trip to Japan.

Práctico, cómodo y agradable. Las sábanas súper suaves y el futón muy cómodo. Aire acondicionado y purificador de aire individual muy útil. El funcionamiento del check in y check out bien explicado. Ofrecía bicis gratuitas (aunque no las utilicé). La casa tiene buena energía :-). He estado muy a gusto.

A traditional old Japanese getaway. I was personally received at the bus stop and escorted all the way to my room. I received a high floor room with an incredible view. You will get the best experience but be prepared with the Japanese etiquette. English is available but basic Japanese can make life easier. The Onsen water is unique and has a distinctive smell. It is very big with indoor and beautiful outdoor area.
