Everything about this place was great. The owner is so nice, so helpful, very funny and outgoing. We had lovely chats with him! Also he helped us a lot with planning our hikes and our transport. The breakfast and dinner provided were great, very healthy and fresh. The dorm room was super comfortable and cozy. The hostel is surrounded by trees and waking up there is one of the best experiences we had in Japan! Would 100% come back when visiting Japan again!

The hosts were simply amazing, exceeding any expectations you may have. I was sick when arriving to the hotel. But, with lots of help and care I received (plus delicious breakfasts and dinner!) I got much better in 3 days spent in Karuizawa and was ready to continue our journey through Japan. We even had a car tour so I could see Karuizawa despite not feeling well. ありがとうございます!

Super friendly and nice staff, we spent a great night there having dinner and drinks afterward. Must try the dinner they served for u. it’s one of the greatest meal during my trip which was made by freshly procured vegetables from local farmer. The owner Chris even gave me a few tomato as gift to take back home. The hotel is very cozy and warm. it feels like u are in the UK with all those Beatles decorations. would definitely come visit again.

Karuizawa is an amazing location. Transport to and from the train stations was easy with a taxi, once we had installed the app. We were on business in the area, but we also had the chance to walk a little, great surroundings. All in all, the accommodation is not cheap, but it can host quite a large group, making it worth the price. Host was definitely helpful, no remarks.
