The room was beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail. The location was fantastic being situated within the old city walls. The room was spacious and the mattress was excellent. Anna, our host, was extremely thoughtful. She gave us a very warm welcome and lots of information on places to visit. Breakfast was wonderful and Anna baked a gluten free cake knowing I am gluten intolerant. Anna also provided a selection of gluten free savouries and soya milk. Such a kind gesture! Breakfast also included eggs, polenta, yoghurts, bread, ham and cheese. Anna made us both a perfect Cappuccino and my soya Cappuccino was very frothy! 10 out of 10! This place comes highly recommended.

The B&B is next to the station, nontheless perfectly calm and within 10min you reach the center. The room (I even had a balcony!) and bathroom were extremely nice & super clean... above all, surprise surprise, you will find a "breakfast survival" gift basket (milk, coffe, cookies etc.).

We had the Smeraldo duplex apartment, which is very quiet as all windows are to the inner courtyard. There is also a very small balcony and a bathroom on each floor. Perfect value for money, perfectly maintained and also valuable information provided from the host like restaurants around, private chef hire, taxi or anything you need to have a perfect stay.

Both the room and the bathroom were comfortable and very clean. Good mattress and pillows. A Nespresso machine in the room with the variety of capsules to choose and also some teabags. Two bottles of water. We were a bit late beating through traffic on the way from Milano but the hostess Adriana kindly waited for us without any annoyance as we texted her on the delay. Adriana is a very friendly caring lady of a smile and a fount of information on the places to go in Bologna and around the city. The location is less than half an hour by foot from the historic centre or the railway station but one can also use public transportation, of course.

Like other reviews say, there is no shower but it is quite nice to bathe like they would have done in the past! We loved the beautiful breakfast in the morning- delcious fruits, yoghurt, cakes, frittata- all extremely generous. The location is great if you have a car, we walked into town which is only about 20mins walk away.
