Sæmundur is the best host ever! Very interesting conversations surrounded by historical atmosohere and smell of Sæmundur's waffers. His grand daughter Emilie was very helpfull and serviceminded too. Location is perfect to visit nearby Hraunfoss and Barnafoss as well for hiking trips. We will definetily stay again in this old farmhouse.

Great location, amazing nature! At night the northern lights are clearly visible - wonderful! Hot pot in severe frost- unforgettable :) Very comfortable guest house, wonderful hosts, everything is very convenient and thoughtful. I recommend to all. Very specious, completely equiped kitchen plus outside BBQ. Great location close to great hikes and views. Very isolated - you see no one around even though its very close to a camping ground and a hotel.

One of the best places we stayed in Iceland! Wonderful, wide views around the valley, renovated facilities, excellent restaurant on site and most helpful staff. Really glad we found this gem in a slightly less visited area of the island.
