I was greeted at the gate by Minakshi and her daughter who helped my dog and I down the hundred metal steps. The effort was well worthwhile. Located just a ten minute walk from the hussle and bussle of Gandhi Chowk, the Hundred Stairs is a haven of peace and tranquility with astonishingly beautiful views across the valley and down to Dehradun. My room was spotless and newly decorated with a big comfy bed, and a welcome wardrobe to hang clothes. Little extras like toilet paper, shampoo and toothpaste in the bathroom were much appreciated. Minkshi's simple home cooking was delicious and no effort was spared in ensuring that I felt welcome and at home. Dogma, my trusted hound was given an equally warm welcome. I would recommend Hundred Stairs whole heartedly to other travellers with canine companions. And I will be back next year.

I can’t stop thinking about The Mellow Cottage. The property is a dream come true holiday. The location is so peaceful and gives such a mesmerizing experience. The cottage is so apt and so cute and comfortable for a family of 4. Every corner of the cottage has been planned and designed so practically. The sit out in the lawn is so addictive and so is the balcony upstairs. One can comfortably prop oneself on those white wicker chairs, pick up a book and forget about the world. The living room and the dining are so inviting themselves. The bedrooms are planned very well and so are the bathrooms. I loved the cute and practical kitchen. Special thanks to Chef Virender and the caretaker Ramesh for taking such good care of us. We were introduced to some mouthwatering ‘Pahadi’ food by Virender. And it was a pleasure chit chatting with Ramesh getting to know about the local areas of interest. Thanks to his suggestions we could manage going for a few nature walks. Felt at peace being there. My father was accompanying us, and along with my husband and 2 boys, he was also in awe of ‘The Mellow Cottage’. Thank you Sumit for giving us this opportunity to spend a memorable holiday in his beautiful place. Thank you Stayvista for taking care of the booking. It was so clean and smooth. Would love to go back again and have suggested this place to friends.

It was good to stay there , Meenakshi mam is too sweet and friendly. It felt like home there. It was not like a hotel or anything. 8/10 for sure.
