It's possible the host, Oréliane, is the most pleasant person on earth. Long story, but trust me she is a real jem of a human being. The apartment itself was super cool, built into the hill as you ascend into vieux lyon. Beautiful view over the city. Close to everything. Very comfortable, very hip, I instantly felt part of the scene than a visitor.

If you are a Johny Walker, you will walk to the train, which is very near, around 100m... maybe and less.. 50m... very near, easy calm walk... and there you have and food market too... then around 3 stations to the last station.. then you should get some bus or metro to the center... by walking, maybe 20 mins of walking to the center... with bus.. maybe 10... with metro.. 5,6 mins probably... but center is wide and city is small... so everything is pretty near... you have scooters, e-bikes everywhere... and one nearest market at the corner... 20 meters... nice neighbourhood... nice apartment... small apartment, small room, but you will have everything what you need there... bed are comfy, pillows are great... so clean... idk.... I had a great time.. host was very kind and fair too... Thank you Ludovic

This is a small boutique hotel in a beautifully restored old building. The room is fabulous with a perfect combination of original features and modern decoration and convenience. The bathroom was great, with a large shower. Breakfast was delivered in a basket, and it was delicious. Although we did not meet the owner, they were very communicative and helpful. We had a fabulous dinner at the bistro across the road where the owners and locals were extremely friendly and welcoming! It was really enjoyable.

Everything was exceptional: location, clear instructions to access the apartment, information about where to eat, visit, neighbourhood, immaculate white bedsheets and towels, all you need to live (including soap, detergent, shampoo and others - this might sound cheap but when you travel light and don’t have them at disposition they become annoyingly important), everything very clean. Good quality furniture, extra pillows and blankets. We always preferred staying in an apartment rather than a hotel room, and sometimes the owners behave like a poor relative is coming to live with them and furnish the place to rent with pieces of furniture that otherwise would be thrown away. This apartment looks newly renovated and everything is functional and pleasant to use. I really appreciate the owners effort. And what a view!!!

This apartment was AMAZING. When I first saw the photos and read the reviews of this apartment, I thought it seemed too good to be true and a small part of me thought this might be a scam. But Anne and her daughter went above and beyond my expectations, this is genuinely a hidden gem in the middle of Vieux Lyon. We arrived very late the first night and Anne's daughter Emmy made sure we managed to get into the apartment safely (she was supposed to meet us at the apartment but we arrived very late so she left the key in a safe space). The apartment is so spacious and clean, a perfect spot to stay for the long weekend. As it was the fete de lumieres, the streets were packed and lively. We enjoyed being near all the festivities but at the same time having an easy place to return to if we were tired. On the day we were to check-out, Anne kindly allowed us to leave our luggage in the apartment so we could continue to enjoy the city before our flight. She was extremely kind and generous, I would happily stay here again!
