とにかく若いホストが親切で、宿泊者の満足だけを考えているような人です。行きはバス停まで彼の父親が迎えに来てくれて、帰りは彼自らが運転してバス停まで送ってくれました。結構な距離なのでお礼を渡そうとしたのですが「宿泊者の満足してるようすが自分にとっては褒美だから」と受け取ってくれませんでした。ケツァールについては宿泊した時期は基本的に朝夕の２回のみのチャンスで自分の滞在した時期では昼間偶然その辺でみられるような感じではなかったです。敷地内にある歩いて５分くらいの木に朝夕１回ずつやってくるのでそれを狙って少し上の丘から見下ろすような位置で長いしっぽまできれいに見えました。時期によって見れる場所も違うのでホストに聞いたら細かな場所を教えてくれると思います。オフシーズンならツアーでないと厳しいかもしれません。宿はセルフビルドっぽい感じで建物自体はベーシックですが、ものすごく清潔に保たれています。キッチンもここで料理する人のことを本当に考えて器具が備えられています。シンクはシミ一つないくらい磨かれていて、フリーのコスタリカコーヒーもありました。窓からの眺めも素晴らしいです。夜寒いというレビューもありましたが、３月は全く寒くありませんでした。もし寒ければもう一つダブルベッドがあるのでそちらのブランケットも使えます。

Very spacious grounds and gorgeous cabins with beautiful views all around. The breakfast was outstanding at the family owned restaurant up the roads little. They have a deck and various bird feeders to bring in a variety of birds up close and personal. Very friendly family run business.

What a value for the little money spent! There is cable and satellite TV, although most programs are in Spanish. It has a hot shower which is an exception rather than the rule in a normal home here. Although it is cooler in the mountains, it was cozy sleeping in our multi-blanketed beds. We enjoyed dinner at this property and ate the local trout, as it is the freshest fish available in these pristine mountain locations. Very yummy! The cold, clear mountain water is delicious.... no chemicals here! We filled all our water bottles to take with us. We did not eat breakfast at the restaurant as we had a full kitchen. However, we did make use of the provided tea and coffee, which was locally produced and was so delicious that we purchased several bags to take home with us.

Great location and mountain view. One road takes you down to the river and other restaurant. Nice terrace with lots of varieties of birds. Country like atmosphere.

Beautiful surroundings - we fell asleep listening to the waterfall. The room is lovely and clean with comfortable features and the shower was clean and hot (a rarity in Costa Rica!) Friendly family and the restaurant serves huge, tasty, homemade food. We wished we had stayed longer!
