Kilauea House is set in Volcano, 18 km from Kilauea, 45 km from Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo, as well as 49 km from University of Hawaii, Hilo. Wonderful from the moment we arrived! Pam and Dean are such gracious hosts who are very helpful and knowledgeable of the national park and surrounds. We met their three gorgeous greyhounds who are very loving and always up for a pat. The photos don’t do this place justice and the rooms are just super lovely and cozy. We’ve been travelling for a month and this is the best place we have stayed so far! Nothing was left unthought of and even takeaway cups were available for your morning coffee. We wish we had stayed longer and hope to get back sometime. in a great location only a short drive to the volcano national park and restaurants.

Located in Keaau, 20 km from Lava Tree State Monument, Ocean Breeze Inn provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and barbecue facilities. The apartment is very pretty and clean, it’s right next to the ocean and the views of the coast are amazing. Perfect place for birds lovers. The host is very friendly and has a lot of helpful tips. There is a laundry room, barbecue and beach items for the guests to use.

Boasting a balcony with sea views, a private beach area and water sports facilities, Ma'ukele Lodge can be found in Pahoa, close to Kaimu Beach and 21 km from Lava Tree State Monument. The hosts were absolutely wonderful. The room is rustic, but a great way to experience Island life. This was an unexpectedly wonderful jewel. Breakfasts were fabulous.

Offering a garden and mountain view, Coffee Garden is set in Captain Cook, 6.9 km from Kealakekua Bay State Historical Park and 7.4 km from Kealakekua Bay. We had a fantastic stay! We got welcomed with fresh papayas and avocados from the garden. The property is very nice and for us in the perfect location as we were not looking for the touristy sites. Close to fantastic snorkeling spots!

Iao Valley Inn features river views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Wailuku, 3.2 km from Iao Valley State Park. Great location, and very good accomodations.

Exceptional hosts who really make you feel at home! Very good location, walking distance from good restaurants and still in a very quite neighbourhood, you only hear the relaxing sound of the ocean. Very good breakfast!

Situated just outside of Hakalau, 20 km from Hilo, Mahana House Country Inn is a non-smoking property and features ocean views, free WiFi access, and free private parking. The Ocean View Suite was very, very pretty, it was super clean, we had lots of room and there was everything what you need including a small kitchen with a fridge inside the room but also a bigger kitchen for everyone. We had a very nice stay here and would definitely come back. Also the bathroom and the bed and everything else had a very high standard and in total this was the best stay we had in Hawaii. Located within 1.7 km of Rainbow Falls and 3.8 km of Lyman Museum & Mission House in Hilo, Old Hawaiian Bed and Breakfast provides accommodation with seating area. Staying at the Old Hawaiian B&B was definitely the highlight of our Hawaii stay. The place is beautiful, authentic, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything you might need during your stay. We have stayed in great hotels all over the world, but the cleanliness of this place is outstanding, everything is absolutely spotless. The garden with the river and waterfall at the back with the wildlife is heaven on earth helping you to disconnect and recharge. Oh, and let’s not forget about how wonderful, diverse and delicious the breakfast was, freshly prepared every morning, including fruit bowls from fruits from the garden, muffins and banana bread also baked in the morning for the guests exclusively. The owners Lory and Stuart, and the lovely Kalā took great care of us. If you are looking for an unforgettable experience in Hawaii, make sure to book this place asap! We will definitely return! The ocean view from the window and balcony was amazing. The host was so sweet, friendly and thoughtful, and sensitive to all our needs. The location allowed us to get to all the attractions easily, while being close to the airport.
