The place is so clean, equipped with everything that you need, the room was comfortable and of course, the garden and view on Pico is unbeatable! We really enjoyed it here and highly recommend it... The bulding is renovated and modern. Great breakfast served every morning. Every day the room was cleaned. The location is very central which was convinient. The staff polite, friendly and helpful!

The guesthouse is located in an excellent location - a few stepy from the beach, realy close to Horta port. The owner is a wonderful person - very hospitable and friendly, always happy to help or advise.

Faial Cottage B&B is situated in Cedros and offers a kitchenette, a terrace. The property has panoramic ocean views as well as garden views and is 12 km from Horta. Beautiful property, great views over the sea and landscape, very comfortable bed! Hosts were so accommodating and caring and the daily breakfasts perfect! Extra nice touches, like wildflowers in the kitchen and bathroom, helped make it extra special!

Artistic and funky but also warm, friendly and totally unpretentious. The hotel is an old style property, airy and light with big windows and views to the Pico volcano. It is like a gem of an oasis amidst more recent development on the edge of town, but is only ten mins walk down to the big square and port. Breakfast in the spacious dining room is exceptional and the ladies who run the hotel are charming and helpful. We had the extra benefit and unexpected bonus of the Suite, which was like having your own flat with a terrace! There are some trendy restaurant options down the hill with good food - but rather pricey wine, but we found a couple of traditional older places (Medalhas & Lima) that we liked. For whale-watching, Naturalist are a good science-based outfit and if you are short of time or transport they do an excellent half day island tour too - very informative and not touristy. You can do both in one day!
