Originally planning to stay for only 5 nights, we ended up extending our stay just to be with them. The entire Escobal family, including Leemark, Migs, Mama and Papa, are truly gems of Siargao. They are incredibly kind-hearted people who made us feel at home away from home.

We had the most incredible stay at Gratitude Inn. The room was amazing: clean, spacious, enough space to store your belonings, great bathroom with a very good shower (and also warm water!). Together with Steven and his friend we went surfing twice. We had no experience surfing, but after the lessons we were able to catch some waves :). In addition, it was possible to rent a scooter for several days. Before I forget, there was also a really cute dog. To sum up, one of the best places to stay while travelling in the Philippines.
