What an absolutely amazing place! Our room was so quiet and comfy and the shared toilet and shower was clean and spacious. The kitchen was so well stocked (spices, utensils, pans, etc). This guest house is better than the pictures! The views in and around the house are absolutely breathtaking. I enjoyed having my coffee out on the front deck with an amazing view of the mountains. The owner was eager to help make us comfortable and offer suggestions on what to do in the area :) thank you!!

The unit had everything we needed for a cost and comfortable evening.

The room was beautiful all being made in wood. The bathroom was spacious. It was all spotless. The view over the mountains lovely. It is a few minutes walk to a pretty beach/bay. Our host Julie was very welcoming providing info about the area and suggesting what we could do and helping us plan our onward journey. The breakfast was tasty and copious. We loved our 2 night stay.

Offering free WiFi and set on the bank of a stream, Chalet Karaka offers accommodation 3 minutes' drive from Takaka village in Golden Bay. Chalet Karaka was absolutely delightful - a hidden gem, tucked away in a beautiful, tranquil bushy setting with a small picturesque stream running at the bottom of the garden. The shower was fantastic - excellent pressure with a lovely glass side looking out onto the private garden and stream. The room was spacious and well appointed and the icing on the cake was the generous outdoor undercover living area/deck complete with a Weber for all your barbecue requirements. Ngairie, our host, was friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

Appleby House & Rabbit Island Huts offer two different accommodation types and is located between Richmond and Mapua on the road to the Abel Tasman National Park. The glamping tent was awesome. Secluded spot, away from the rest of the accomodation. The view was amazing! We would definitely stay here again!
