Notodden town centre is a 25-minute drive away. Great home cooked dinner. Excellent value. Large room and very comfortable. Excellent wi-fi which came in handy since I did a video interview during our stay. Good lighter side breakfast.

The four course dinner at Nutheim is made of local ingredients and gives the food a homemade feeling that matches the welcoming home-feeling from the hostess presenting the food and the history of the hotel. Dinner is served with excellent wine or beer from the hotel’s own microbrewery. The breakfast buffet is traditional for Telemark and includes homemade bread and jam. Beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting. The food was exceptionally good. We would love to stay again.

Morning fog on the lake was lovely. The calls of cranes echoing from the hills. The 1770 stabbur was very roomy and well-equipped with bathroom, kitchen, TV. I loved the history of the place—like a museum. Short drive to Bo or Lunde, Telemark. Torstein and Goril were charming hosts. I plan to return and recommend to my family.

Located within 27 km of Bø Summerland and 36 km of Telemark Kanal in Nes, Vrangfoss Sluse provides accommodation with seating area. Featuring luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Featuring a private entrance, the guest house allows guests to maintain their privacy. Quiet, historical location allows you to watch the operation of the locks. Having a restaurant on site was a big plus. We had a lovely dinner on the porch, and the breakfast the next morning was just fine. This was good for a one-night stay, but probably wouldn't want to stay longer than that. Location was great to get to Ulefoss or Lunde to go for a canal boat cruise.

The bed and breakfast features mountain views, a sun terrace, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. The place is an old, charming house that's very warm and cosy. Shower inside the room, toilet is shared and outside of the room but to be honest we didn't find it an issue. Location is very safe, next to the local Spar. The breakfast is simple but does the job. There's optional dinner that you can go for at extra charge that I would recommend if you are willing the taste some local food. The food that's prepared by the hosts is very tasty and the price is reasonable. Speaking of the hosts, they are absolutely lovely - super attentive, really trying to make you feel welcome and very accommodating. Thank you for the great experience!
