We felt very good taken care of, lots of recommendations to do, you can also book tours at the reception. Room is small but comfy, the garden is really nice. Also the area is very walkable and safe from the city. Breakfast is nice (but the same everyday) We decided to extend our stay for two days as we liked it so much in San Chris and Ocho Barrios!

Offering a garden and garden view, Los Susurros. Casa is set in Palenque, 6.7 km from Palenque Ruins and 2 km from Aluxes EcoPark & Zoo. Los Susurros was a fantastic place to stay. The Bungalow is quite large and squeaky clean (and it has a working & clean fridge as well as good Air-conditioning). From the moment we arrived we immediately felt at home, because Adriana treated us more as friends than as guests. She helped us plan our stay, organized an amazing jungle walking tour and prepared simple, yet super tasty breakfasts. A large highlight of the place are the free roaming howler monkeys and the monkey rescue station which is taken care of by the owner. Generally the whole area is a thoughtfully designed garden full of animals (cats, dogs, monkeys, ...). Even though the last stretch of the road is a bit rough, we did not have any problems getting there with our small (non-4WD) rental car. So if you plan on visiting Palenque, we definitely recommend staying here (and definitely listen to Adriana's tips - we loved everything she recommended! E.g. the Roberto Barrios cascadas!!).

Boasting a garden and a bar, Casa Tequio is situated in San Cristóbal de Las Casas in Barrio del Cerrillo, "el barrio de los hombres libres". 700 metres from San Cristobal Cathedral. A quiet piece of heaven. Super friendly and well organised. Great inner courtyard and rooftop. And yes... breakfast is super. Esperanza and staff are welcoming and caring, lovely. I loved that I could make a fire on colder nights. Family run, mature, great location, had a fun and relaxing time here.

Situated in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, near San Cristobal Cathedral and Santo Domingo Church San Cristobal de las Casas, Tierra Alta Hostal is a recently renovated property, featuring, a garden and... We just felt at home! There are many shared spaces - not only the kitchen and big eating area but also a room where you can work, a TV room, two terraces and a chill out room. We played billard (Very new, but small table). The staff is so great and helpful! The hostel is brand new and they still improve. The location is perfectly quiet and close to many restaurants.
