The location is amazing set amongst rice fields in a rural village where you can walk to a nearby lake and pass by the friendly locals going about their daily life .Our room was so clean and modern and our host Dylan was very kind and informative,The safari organization was great. We saw a leopard cross the road right in front of us at early morning. We saw a lot of other animals to include a family of elephants. The food was also so fresh and delicious.we would definitely recommend staying here and get to feel the real SriLanka away from all the tourist hubs.

You will not be disappointed. It is only 100 metres from NP entrance & lake edge. Magical entry is unique thru bush path that opens onto safari style forest huts in keeping with the secluded setting. The rooms were exceptionally clean, beds comfy with mosquito nets. Ensuite was spotless. The best part was our host Neehal! His limited English was more than made up for by his entusiasm & attention to detail. Were ate all meals on site and were exceptional provided by Sanjay.. Highly reccomended !!! Wilpattu Green Cabin is a small and friendly family-run establishment in the countryside near Eluwankulama. It is accessible by tuk tuk from the Elwulankulama bus stop. The drivers will know where to go. (It’s about 5 minutes away.) Wilpattu Green Cabin is located right on the Lunu Ela River (I think that is the name) and is a lovely and relaxing spot to take a break. They have two new bungalows with a fan, mosquito nets and veranda that face the river and are spacious, clean and comfy. They also have one room referred to as “the treehouse“ which was entirely crafted out of sustainable “green“ materials. It is more cozy than the bungalows but it is super adorable and has a wonderful vibe. Be prepared to climb a ladder! It costs a little bit more than the bungalows but worth it! They also have a couple air con rooms that are kind of dark and do not face the river in case you absolutely need your AC. You will probably want to purchase lunch and/or dinner at Green Cabin since there is no other easy option but no worries, the meals are tasty and filling. Breakfast was included. The establishment is run by a friendly fellow named Riswan, his brother, sister-in-law and others. Riswan will arrange a Jeep safari to Wilppatu National Park if you like. You can also take a long pole boat ride up the river to look for birds. I did both the Jeep safari and the long pole boat ride and thoroughly enjoyed them. Of note: there is an elephant that sometimes swims the river and sneaks into the adjacent rice paddy for a midnight snack! I would definitely book another stay at Wilpattu Green Cabin, especially in the treehouse!

Basically next door to the park entrance, incredibly delicious Sri Lankan home cooked dinner, good room and Susil went out of his way to contact a petrol station that charged me £100 on the way there, calling them and arranging for them to refund to his bank account and then giving me cash. Perfect place for a Safari. Highly recommend.

Offering a garden, Wilpattu Tree House is set 500 metres from Wilpattu. Anuradhapura is 27 km away. Free private parking is available on site. A fabulous location just outside Wilpattu National Park entrance gate. The staff were exceptionally friendly and courteous. We staying in a tree- house room and really enjoyed watching the birds and other wildlife from our balcony

Offering a spa and wellness centre and a restaurant, LLT Tourist Inn and Safari Jeep provides a 24-hour front desk for the convenience of the guests. Free wired internet is available. I loved the communication with the owner. He helped me organize everything I wanted and gave me a great idea for a walk in the area. My cabana was very nice and comfortable, with beautiful garden views. I was served dinner in the verandah which was amazing.
