We decided to stop in at the Golden Residence to break up our trip to Kandy. The owner was great and very accomodating. Our rooms were very large and spotless and the tour of the hotel gardens was fun. We had to leave early and the had a huge and tasty breakfast spread ready to go for us. Best value and cleanest rooms we have had to date in Sri Lanka!!

Will definitely recommend and try visit again if possible.

Offering mountain views, Kithulvilla Holiday Bungalow is located in Ginigathena, 39 km from Kandy and 36 km from Nuwara Eliya. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant and infinity pool. Our hostess Laura made us so very welcome, it was more like being invited to share someone’s home. An amazing authentic lunch was conjured up at very short notice in spite of us not having seen Laura’s message asking us if we needed any meals that day. This was followed later by an equally delicious and relaxing dinner. We enjoyed the pool with the beautiful view out to the mountains, and the spaciousness of our surroundings. But best of all was Laura’s hospitality and humour, she made our stay quite magical and we would love to have the opportunity to return.

Located just 50 metres form the famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Inn Suwani Pinnawala offers cosy and comfortable accommodation. Free WiFi access is available. It was a great stay. Our room was nice and clean. We had a/c. The breakfast was very good! Very kind owners, in the evening we were sitting on a porch and they gave us tea. We could check out after we came back from the elephant freedom project. We also could do the laundry for reasonable price. Really recommend! We spent there only one night but if we could we would stay longer.
