It was an amazing place to stay in the heart of the old Centre in this really breathtaking beautiful town. The room was big and beautiful decorated with a nice (double) shower, despite off the stairs we have to walk to arrive there ;). A great city and nice environment!

Very close to the Sassi and many excellent restaurants. Highly recommended!

Set in a restored Tuff-stone building, Hydria Rooms is a guest house located in Matera, 60 metres from Sasso Barisano. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property. We had an exceptional stay here! it’s just outside the old town but SO CLOSE it took me by surprise, the sassi comes into view out of nowhere. We had the basic room and it was very comfortable and felt luxurious. We found paid parking on the blue lines for the first day and managed to get free parking further up the road the next day. It felt very safe to leave the car on the road. The recommendations upon arrival were very useful to help us prioritise our short time. thank you so much for a great stay!
