Very beautiful location as they all seem to be in Iceland with everything you would need. There is a kitchen with every tools you need to cook, living room where multiple people can eat and everything was very well designed and maintained. The rooms are at the first floor with 2 shared bathrooms but since it is a wooden house you might need to be careful not to disturb other travelers. We found only 1 room for 4 people but it was excellent and I had a very good sleep. Everything was clean and well maintained which I appreciated. The entire house was very quiet and we really enjoyed our stay at this amazing guesthouses which I definitely recommend.

Frostastaðir guesthouse is situated 12 km from Varmahlid by road 76, and features barbecue facilities, garden and terrace. Free WiFi is included. The lodging was both large and very comfortable. Having a full kitchen which was nicely stocked was a plus. The living room with large windows had a beautiful view. The entire place was nicely decorated and very welcoming. It was perfect for four adults.

We had such a wonderful time at Solvanes Farmholidays and can’t rate this properly highly enough! Eydis and her family are amazing, generous and knowledgeable hosts who cooked us delicious breakfasts and dinners. We enjoyed meeting the animals in this lovely part of Iceland. The beds were comfy and kitchen well equipped. Thank-you for a fantastic and authentic experience in Iceland!

Featuring lake views, Hagi 1 Guesthouse offers accommodation with balcony, around 25 km from Godafoss Waterfall. The view from the room was superb. The room itself, although it was small, provided all facilities and it was cleverly designed.

Offering a barbecue and views of the mountain, Bolstaoarhlio Guesthouse is set in Bólstaðarhlíð. Some units include views of the river or garden. Every room is equipped with a private bathroom. Owner Einar communicated with us with all the information well. The guesthouse was just by Hwy 1 and was easy to find. Nice house by the church. Einar and her 2 dogs welcome us well when we arrived. Einar is very nice and showed us around and made sure we were settled. The room and bathroom is very clean. Shower was hot and strong. We got the middle one and it had a fantastic view of the mountain. The living room is roomy. We had breakfast in the kitchen and it was very clean as well.
