Great base to explore Hofn and the surrounding area from. Great facilities. Ideal if you want to self cater. Staying here again for 4 nights in November with 2 different photography workshop groups. Situated on a horse farm by Iceland’s Ring Road, this bed and breakfast is 8 km from Höfn village. It offers bright and basic rooms with free WiFi access and mountain views. Amazing staff, really friendly, offered early check in because of bad weather. Overlooking Lake Lagarfljót, this guest house is 5 minutes’ drive from central Egilsstadir. All rooms include free WiFi access, a fridge and a private bathroom with shower. The room was quite large and nicely decorated. The shared kitchen and dining area was outstanding. The whole place was very clean. We needed help with the heating system (we are from a hot country and didn’t know how to use it) and one of the family was there within 10 mins which was greatly appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay.
