We stayed in Room 5. Beautifully decorated, thoroughly cleaned, a fabulous nights sleep and breakfast was exceptional (Compliments to the Chef!!). Daryl was very welcoming, as were the front house staff through to housekeeping. You will not be disappointed when you stay here!

I absolutely loved my stay there. The room was spotless and very cosy. Both my mum and I slept very comfortably and we're both fairly picky when it comes to bed and pillows. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. We had a full english breakfast on both days and it was wonderful as well. But the real gems are the owners. I haven't had much time to chat with Andrew but he was so helpful when we first arrived and Lorraine is an absolute sweetheart. My mum, who doesn't speak English, couldn't stop telling me how wonderful and welcoming Lorraine was and I think she was fairly jealous she couldn't have a chat with her. I would totally recommend this place and I will definitely come back in the future if my travels take me to South Shields again.

Situated in a area close to the local bus route that allow for easy transportation, close enough to to central Newcastle the taxis/ubers are fairly priced. Very clean room, and Kim was great and provided us with extra towels along with information about the busses and provided a number for a taxi company that could be trusted. Overall 10/10 stay and would 100% stay again

Less than 10 minutes’ walk from South Shields’ beach and Ocean Beach Pleasure Park, this 3-star guest house offers free Wi-Fi access. Comfortable room. Bed linens, towels were clean. Free wifi is fast. Breakfast is freshly prepared every morning. Lots of English, Indian and Italian restaurants across the road.

Set in a residential street, this large Victorian house is only a 2-minute walk to South Shields town centre, parks and beaches. It has nicely decorated bedrooms and free parking. The property is well located in a quiet street, close to Ocean Rd. Paul the host is friendly and welcoming. Our room was warm , comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent and very good value for money.

Award-winning 4-star silver guest house, 5 minutes' walk to beaches and parks, Forest Guest House offers cooked breakfasts and inviting bedrooms with free WiFi in the centre of South Shields. It was the best host ever. Near the beach and parks, cozy room, friendly personnel, clean, great breakfast, simply the best we could find.

Situated just outside Heddon, a charming village on Hadrian’s Wall, this French-style B&B is only 8 miles from the centre of Newcastle. This property is exceptional, clean and tidy and tasteful furnished. In a lovely location and close to Hadrian’s wall walk. Fridge well stocked and Lesley provided tasty meals which we ordered in advance. Lesley was very friendly and welcoming.
