The owner welcomed me when I arrived late in the evening , tired from the west highland way, and was very kind and warm! He was helpful and patient even though it was pretty late. The room was decorated so special, and had everything I needed for a good night sleep. The shower is great. The location is close to the WHW trail and was the best choice. Very close to a pub and a coffee place. I would stay there again.

Altskeith Country House está a 10 km de Lago Katrine y ofrece alojamiento con restaurante, jardín, terraza y bar. En el bed and breakfast, tanto el wifi como el parking privado son gratis. Both host and hostess are delightful people and did everything to make our stay memorable. Fantastic food, with a lovely dinner and superb smoked salmon for brekky. The best! This is a unique setting, quite beautiful! We were sad to say farewell after only 1 night.

Room was very nice and light. Bed was big and comfortable. At arrival the host asked what we would like for breakfast, the next morning it was served as requested. Fishing in the stream was possible, caught 2 brown trout. Good parking accomodation. If you spend the night here, defenitely go eat at the local pub in Crianlarich, lovely food!
