The location is great, literally close to everywhere tourist need in a short walk distance (bars, restaurants, the Bowmore distillery, local shops) and with a plenty of parking space. The homemade breakfast with a wide variety of ingredients for choice was delicious and helped to start a day in a right mood. But the real gem was a pair of lovely and very responsive hosts, Brigit & George, that were there for every need and gave very useful tips and recommendations.

Kilmeny is offering accommodation in Ballygrant. Each accommodation at the 5-star guest house has garden views, and guests can enjoy access to a garden and to a terrace. Guests can enjoy mountain views.

A cozy, no-frills guest house within walking distance of three world class distilleries. Our host Niall was simply amazing. He and his family are incredibly welcoming and you almost feel like you are part of the family. They will “get you sorted” with using the local buses, where to grab a bite, who to call for a taxi and whatever else you might be wondering about. Exceptional hosts. The distilleries were great but these fine people will be what we remember most fondly about our stay on Islay.

A continental breakfast can be enjoyed at the property and private Distillery Tours are available at a discounted rate to B&B guests. It was a very nice place to spend some quality time with friends😀

A short drive to both ports, basically a short drive to every destination on the island. The room was comfortable,the bathroom spacious and clean, the breakfast was magnificent. The host was wonderful and helped us with dinner bookings that are hard to get by and gave us great advise for our day trips.

It was one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time. The addition of the free dram of whisky was a good way to start the day.

Glenegedale House offers accommodation in Glenegedale and is situated 5 miles from Port Ellen and 6 miles from Bowmore.

Each room includes a flat-screen TV. Rooms are equipped with a private bathroom fitted with a shower. For your comfort, you will find bathrobes and slippers. Every detail in the house has been cararefully thought and chosen, very sophisticated and cozy. Emma and Graeme wonderful hosts.

Burnside Lodge is located in Port Wemyss. Free WiFi access is available. Featuring bathrobes, private bathroom also comes with free toiletries. You can enjoy sea view from the room. Extras include bed linen. Kate and Tom that run Burnside are lovely people and the room I was in was beautiful. Huge big bed which was very comfortable and very good en-suite facilities. Beautiful view outside of Rinns of Islay lighthouse with seals in the bay. Also have a communal room where you can relax and have a tea or coffee
