Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Y Fan is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Caerphilly, 12 km from Cardiff University. We were visiting Caerphilly for the final stage of the 2023 Tour of Britain Bicycle Race. Y Fan was a great place to stay. It was within walking distance of the Castle (must see!!), where the end of the race took place. Y Fan is a beautifully appointed redo of an older building. The room was comfortable and the en-suite bath was one of the nicer ones we encountered on our trip. A full English breakfast was included in the price, there was plenty of it and it was delicious, right down (or up) to the French press coffee. There are great indoor spaces for relaxing, games and music, and there are tables to relax outdoors and enjoy the sunset. We very much enjoyed our trip to Caerphilly and our stay at Y Fan.

The Sugarloaf suite is just beautiful! Nicola and Harry are fabulous hosts. They really couldn’t do enough for us from the moment we arrived. Lovely breakfast.

Set in Raglan and only 45 km from Bristol Parkway Station, Art House B & B offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. We liked everything! Lovely people and excellent hot croissants for breakfast among other things. A true gem!

Located 24 km from Bristol Parkway Station, Parkfield (Chepstow BnB) provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. B&B of the highest quality, in all aspects. The hostess was very helpfull when news came that the only nearby pub did not serve dinner anymore.

Ty Castell Guest House is situated in Caerphilly, 13 km from University of South Wales - Cardiff Campus, 13 km from Motorpoint Arena Cardiff, as well as 14 km from Cardiff Castle. Our stay here was a 30 minute alternate to the higher prices in Cardiff. We were a 10 minute walk to the train station. Steve was very accommodating with parking and early check in. We arrived early and took in The Little Cheese Festival in Caerphilly. We enjoyed a great breakfast on the first morning.

Set 1.1 km from Abergavenny town centre, Cherryberry Lodges has barbecue facilities and garden. The shepherds hut and the cabin are both fab. You have your own kitchen, bbq, lovely hot shower and get the best breakfast as well. Sarah is a brilliant host. Can’t recommend enough.

Mill Lodge-Brecon Beacons in Gilwern provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and barbecue facilities. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Beautiful location. The room was very cosy and well equipped.

Boasting a bar, Ty Llew Lodge is located in Abergavenny in the Gwent region, 49 km from Cardiff University. Lovely choice every morning, beautiful fresh fruit with local yogurt, with the lovely Gail who made it even more special!

Very comfortable and roomy. The common area is a bonus with a full kitchen for guests use and a front parlor area too. Lots of character and a great location.
