The female host was exceptional, I told her I wanted to buy some bottle water and she asked if she could give me some for free from her fridge if I didn’t mind. A little kindness goes a long way. The Westbourne is a beautiful guest house set in the peaceful area below Biskey Howe in the Lake District. Bedrooms feature walk-in-shower rooms, luxurious toiletries and large fluffy towels. The location was excellent. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The room was spotlessly clean and staff couldn’t do enough.

Jerichos is a contemporary family-run guest house with stylish decor situated on a quiet side street in the heart of Windermere village. There is free Wi-Fi and free ample private parking. What a beautiful place to stay. Large and very well appointed rooms with everything you could need. Very comfortable large bed . Hosts were so lovely and welcoming and a delicious hot breakfast was included. Free parking as well. 2 minutes walk to the main street of the town. Highly recommended!!

Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness. Rooms were small, but very clean and comfortable. The staff and the breakfast were both excellent.
