Ive been backpacking south america for aproximately 3 months and this is by far one of the nicest places ive stayed at. Super good and helpful hosts with everything. They will be glad to help you book trips or if there is any othwr issues. They also uppgraded our room to a better one because it was free at the moment. We decided to stay longer in banos because of the hotel and also that banos is a great place. The location is a bit off on the map but it takes like 10 mins to the city center by foot.

Hosteria Llanovientos is located in Baños and features free WiFi access, an on-site restaurant and bar, and a games room with table tennis. The property offers free parking. Very clean and great helping staff.

Featuring a fully equipped common kitchen, a garden and a terrace, La Casa del Molino Blanco B&B offers free WiFi and breakfast. The main square is 300 meters away. Joanna was a gem of a host. Each morning she greeted us with a smile for breakfast (which varied everyday and was amazing!) and willing to help with everything. Booking tours via them is totally recommended it’s cheaper than other tour operators in town and when we went rafting we ended up in the same group as people who booked through geotravel (25 vs 30$). The bikes we rented were also well mantained and Joanna explained the waterfall route very well. Hotel also offers laundry at cheap prices. The room was as described and the shared bathroom was very clean, shower was hot. The patio and garden were really nice and were really inviting to have a drink or play a game. The Hostal is located in a peaceful bit of Banos. It’s a 10min walk to the centre, the uphill bit is easy with a normal fitness level. All in all our stay was really good (and good value!) but the staff made it heartwarming! Extra tip. Go to El Salado hotspring which is amazing and pretty close by.

Featuring a garden and BBQ facilities, this rustic European-style guest house offers breakfast, free Wi-Fi and panoramic views of Baños City. Casa Amarilla is beautifully located on the hillside with a stunning view of Baños. City center is just a 15 minute walk away. But what was most exceptional about our stay was the staff. Bettina and Darwin are the loveliest people I’ve met in a long time, they go above and beyond to help you with every question and are also just fun to talk to and spend time with. 10/10 I would recommend anyone to go stay here when you are going to Baños. Also speak fluent English.
