Large, new, modern, well-appointed room set in a small garden behind a house (so it's quiet). Cleaned daily if you so wish. Very comfortable bed. Wifi is strong and shower is hot (two essentials for me!). The kitchen (containing the breakfast area) at the back of the garden is free to use, as is the washing machine in the laundry room. Bonus! Tania and her husband are a treasure trove of information regarding climbing the volcanoes in the area. In fact, when I mentioned Ruminahui, they (as keen hikers themselves) offered to take me to the start of the southern route. We climbed together for a while, after which they directed me to the summit. I got lost coming back (my fault!), but they waited more than two hours for me. Later, when I offered to pay, they said, 'It is a courtesy of the guesthouse.' A truly lovely couple. My experience in Machachi couldn't have been better thanks to them. One of the best places I've stayed in Ecuador. And I loved the ancient German Shepherd that greets you at the gate!

O Ruta de los volcanes é um Cama e Café (B&B) sustentável em Machachi, onde você pode aproveitar ao máximo seu jardim e terraço. The accommodation was beautiful. It's near the Cotopaxi National Park and area is very nice. Host Darwin was very kind and he was cooking very well. The restaurant has very good atmosphere with the fireplace. The best bonus was we met with great Ecuadorian people who were also accommodated here :). We really recommend this accommodation if you want to visit Cotopaxi volcan.

Apresentando um jardim com vista para o Vulcão Pasochoa, o Hacienda Santa Ana está situado em uma charmosa casa que combina design moderno e antigo. We loved everything about our stay at Santa Ana. It is a beautiful property with so many unique features. We came with a two year old and a four month old, and though it doesn't seem like the most family friendly destination on the surface, it turned out fabulously; the animals were a huge hit, the massive front lawn allowed for hours of kicking the soccer ball around, the meals were delicious and a high chair was available. We also enjoyed two great activities organised by the staff: a farm visit where we saw the cheese making process and a hike to the nearby waterfall (both excellent for our two year old)! Speaking of the staff: they were thoughtful, helpful and very accommodating!
