Set just 46 km from Ujarras Ruins, The Lodge at Reventazon River Mountain Ranch offers accommodation in Turrialba with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. This was by far the best place were we stayed (out of four different top rated hotels & lodges) of our short Costa Rica tour. The place and surrounding gardens are amazing, the view over the Turrialba Vulcan is unbeatable, the quietness and peacefulness of the scenery are fantastic. The bungalows are beautiful, cozy and quite complete, with a small and conveniente kitchenette. They feature an amazing varanda with breathtaking views to the vulcano. Both the owners and the local manager were unexceedingly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast room views were equally amazing.

Offering an outdoor pool, a garden and free WiFi in all areas, Finca Queveri is located 20 minutes' drive from Orosí, surrounded it by the National Park Tapanti. Great food and outstanding service. Felt completely welcomed. Was very focused on us having a pleasant stay, including the children. Really good with children! The food was excellent! - fresh, tasty and fulfilling. The view from the lodge and from the road up to the lecheria are amazing.

Set just 37 km from Jardin Botanico Lankester, Ledy's Inn provides accommodation in Turrialba with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. The apartment was very close to the center of town, but tucked into a quiet neighborhood. Great location!

Arte de Plumas birding lodge is situated in Cartago. This bed and breakfast features free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Andre took us right to he Sunbittern. He pointed out many species at the lodge. There was great viewing from the lodge and the 2nd large viewing platform. He also arranged a pass to the Rancho lodge for our first sighting of the Snowcap Hummingbird. Daisy is an excellant chef and paid special attention to our dietary restrictions. Our meals were so delicious. She made sure everything was perfect for us. The rooms were comfy and spotless. Daisy is always working and very loveable. Omar was super friendly and helped me with my Spanish, as was the other fellow. I loved our stay here and the natural surroundings. Quieter and less crowded than some lodges. I was very sad to leave.

Situated in Turrialba, 35 km from Ujarras Ruins, AQUIARES COFFEE FARM CASA HACIENDA LA ESPERANZA offers accommodation with a hot tub and a public bath. Wonderful historic villa with beautiful garden and surroundings. The staff was very friendly and the food nice. The tour at the coffee farm was very interesting and informative. Thanks for everything.

Located in Cartago and only 11 km from Jardin Botanico Lankester, Dreams Lodge Orosi provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. We booked this lodge for the last 4 nights of our stay in Costarica, only as a place to sleep- as we planned to spend whole days out on excursions. We were actually sorry that we could not spend more time in the lodge itself. It has some lovely outdoor space where you can sit and relax. It also has a common kitchen which is very well equipped, so you can cook your meals there if you wish. There is also a swimming pool, but we did not use it as the weather was quite cold. Room was super clean and comfortable. We loved the local cat which was very friendly and liked to spend her time in the lodge :-) What makes absolute highlight of this lodge, is Ms. Jessica, who provided excellent service to us during our entire stay. She was always so nice and did lot more for us, than she had to! She also speaks very good English so we had no problems with communication. First morning, we ate breakfast in the lodge - the local Gallo Pinto. It was the best breakfast we had in the entire Costarica! Big portion and perfectly cooked and flavoured. You will love it! And the breakfast outdoor seating is very nice. For the rest of our mornings, we were actually leaving very early (around 5 am), and Jessica was so nice that she always prepared for us breakfast and left it in the fridge). If you have rented car, you can park it in front. You can also arrive by public bus (like we did), it is only around 5-10 minutes walk from the bus station. Just be careful, there is no signage with the hotel name, from the street it lookes like someone’s house. If you are at the entrance to the cemetery, you are already too far :-) search for black metal staircase - that is your place.

Offering a garden and mountain view, Hospedaje Amanecer is located in Turrialba, 29 km from Ujarras Ruins and 36 km from Jardin Botanico Lankester. This place is a gem! We just loved it. The staff were amazing, friendly, and helpful. There was good birding right in the backyard and the pool was a great addition. Highly recommend this place.
