In a renovated Art Nouveau building in the centre of Schwellbrunn in the Appenzellerland region, B&B Rössli offers free WiFi access and a large terrace with views of Säntis Mountain. The B&B is in the middle of the village with a wonderful view. Esther and Ueli are hosts the way you want them to be. They do their work with a lot of love and helpfulness. The breakfast is delicious. They value regional, organic products, if possible from the village. The bathroom is very clean. When I come back, I'll go to the Rössli :-)

Located 1 km from the centre of Gais high above Lake Constance, Bären - Das Gästehaus is a small and stylish boutique hotel surrounded by gardens. It offers free Wi-Fi and free private parking. Outstanding family run B&B that was charming, clean, and situated in the heart of the Appenzell region with access to unbelievable scenery and hiking. Wonderful hospitality from Abongile who provided all the local knowledge and recommendations. She went above and beyond to help us with a parking ticket as well. Amazing local organic breakfast was provided every morning, with the scrambled eggs in particular a highlight. WiFi was fast!

Located in Gais, 17 km from Olma Messen St. Gallen, Ferienhotel Idyll Gais provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. It is a beautiful location with a peaceful and serene vibe. I love all the outdoor seating nooks. The host was very friendly and helpful. I wish we had booked more nights at this place.

The owners were so friendly and accomodating. For every question they had a solution. Food in the restaurant downstairs was excellent. I would visit again just for this!

Alpenheim features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Teufen, 8.6 km from Olma Messen St. Gallen. This 3-star bed and breakfast offers a shared kitchen and room service. The perfect location and superb views. We had the appartement in the ground floor and this was very clean, modern and big.

The dinner was excellent. You can tell they care for presentation as well as taste. I would go again!

If you are into history, as I am, you will Love this place. Over 200 years old, full of details, old wooden chests and furniture, clocks, paintings..Like a trip to history. Great host, great coffee, really nice place.
