A recently renovated property, Guest house Diabora-Veliko Tarnovo is located in Veliko Tŭrnovo near Archaeological Museum Veliko Turnovo, Tsarevets Fortress and Forty Martyrs Church. Very cute and full of details and plants. Very lovely staff, will accomodate you no matter what you need. They were really helpful trying to figure out the parking, they’re happy to pay for you and then you reimburse them, as parking can be tricky on the Main Street. Will definitely come back again! 🥰

A wonderful small family-run hotel in the centre of the old town part of Veliko Tărnovo. The location is perfect, especially as it’s located one block away from the sometimes noisy main road. It’s a well-designed new building and spotlessly clean. Miroslav, the host while I was there, was a fountain of information and tremendously helpful in making onward travel plans.

Set in Veliko Tŭrnovo, within 400 metres of Archaeological Museum Veliko Turnovo and 1.2 km of Tsarevets Fortress, Tarnovo Studios Old Town offers accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi throughout... Very nice apartment in the old town with an amazing view. The balcony is very beautiful. The location is also convenient, if you need to use a bus station, Avtogara Yug is nearby. Close to different shops, cafes and restaurants. The host was very helpful, especially when we needed info connected how to get from Plovdiv to Veliko Tarnovo by bus (the host helped us to check the bus schedule). I'd recommend to visit Veliko Tarnovo not in August but another time as it's stuffy and hot in my opinion, it's a very picturesque city worth visiting.

We booked an apartment for three days on Bulgaria's national holiday. The apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The host was very polite — they even arranged a parking spot for us, although the place listing here stated that the hotel does not offer parking spots, and we knew that — we just asked for advice on where to park. During Bulgaria's national holiday, the city of Veliko Tarnovo is visited by thousands of tourists, and it gets pretty hard to find a place to stay, eat, or visit local landmarks and attractions. So, it was in this hotel too - there is a fast-food restaurant on the ground floor, and it gets quite visited by the people passing by (the hotel is on the main street, leading to the Tsarevets fortress - one of the most visited attractions, especially during national holidays). We were delighted to be served well by the hosts, even in such conditions. Several cats live in the backyard, so our kids were delighted to play with them. The hotel's front entrance is on the main street. Still, the back gate is at the beginning of the 'Street of Crafts' (the so-called 'Самоводска чаршия' / 'Samovodska charshiya')—one of the tourist attractions in Veliko Tarnovo, which is even greater. The 'Museum of Illusions' is just across the street—a trendy place to visit with your kids. It gets pretty visited, so the queues to enter there are long. However, since the hotel is just in front of it, we could observe when they will open it while we have breakfast and enter without waiting for hours in long queues.

The rooms are newly furnished, comfortable, and very clean. Linens were crisp and the WiFi fast and secure. Our room was on the third floor and featured a terrace to survey this lovely former capitol of Bulgaria. Restaurants and shops are an easy three minute walk slightly downhill from the hotel. Our Host was very gracious! She provides an included breakfast buffet in a charming dining room, flooded with light from large windows. There are also two outdoor covered terraces as gathering spaces. A communal refrigerator is located for guests in sitting areas on each floor.
