During Bulgaria's national holiday, the city of Veliko Tarnovo is visited by thousands of tourists, and it gets pretty hard to find a place to stay, eat, or visit local landmarks and attractions. So, it was in this hotel too - there is a fast-food restaurant on the ground floor, and it gets quite visited by the people passing by (the hotel is on the main street, leading to the Tsarevets fortress - one of the most visited attractions, especially during national holidays). We were delighted to be served well by the hosts, even in such conditions. Several cats live in the backyard, so our kids were delighted to play with them. The hotel's front entrance is on the main street. Still, the back gate is at the beginning of the 'Street of Crafts' (the so-called 'Самоводска чаршия' / 'Samovodska charshiya')—one of the tourist attractions in Veliko Tarnovo, which is even greater. The 'Museum of Illusions' is just across the street—a trendy place to visit with your kids. It gets pretty visited, so the queues to enter there are long. However, since the hotel is just in front of it, we could observe when they will open it while we have breakfast and enter without waiting for hours in long queues.
