Teyra is a wonderful host. Particularly enjoyed the welcome song and learning about the indigenous people. He was also very helpful with restaurants. He has bikes that can be used for free. We cycled to Taroko park and to restaurants everyday. Teyra also lined us up with a great tour guide to get a thorough tour of Taroko Park. Finally, he picked us up and took us back to the train station. Fantastic visit.

The entire building is simple, spacious and elegant. Our Japanese futon style room is spacious, quiet and comfortable. Bathroom is very spacious too. The host served their home-made yogurt every morning which was very yummy. The breakfast was fresh and filing, wonderful for fueling our day of hiking in the park. The host couple is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is great too. Very close to the park as well as to nearby towns for food and shopping. We loved this place and will go back again.

We had a great stay at this hotel that is minutes from the park. There’s plenty of restaurants close by and you get breakfast as well. It was great hanging out on the lovely wooden handmade tables looking at the green mountains. We really enjoyed talking to Erna who works there as she is a very sweet women. It’s also super clean and great sheets and towels.

The cost of the room is very low, but the rooms are very large for that price and it was extremely clean. It was also close to Taroko National Park, with a bus stop a block away that will take you to the park. It is also walking distance from the train station.

This is a great place to stop off before tackling the Suhua highway portion of the Huan Dao from the south, since it's so close to the first tunnel. Has everything I needed: Washers, drying spaces, places to store my bike, water, well-organized space. It's not as glitzy as a big city hostel, but owners are friendly and it's well-run.
