Converted from a prison, you definitely felt safe on the inside. it's been tastefully redecorated with clean, crisp decor; but you still get the sense of the bigness and intensity of the prison. Architecturally it was a bit confronting at first, but the service was outstanding, the people staying there were friendly and chatty. The rooms were clean and quiet and beds super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Great value for money.

The fact that it's an old prison gave it a special charm and a very unique feeling. Food is simple, hearty and delicious - you can cook some of it yourself in the grillhouse. What makes this place so special is the thought and care of the owners Helén and Bengt - they are wonderful, down-to-earth hosts and made us feel at home. Highly recommend.
