The place exceeded our expectations simply because of its host Rui! Maybe the room is a bit too small but Rui is a gem! He suggested some very best sport to visit on Sao Jorge, helped to solve return time issue with car rental company, suggested few really nice restaurants and even booked few taxi rides for us. We simply forgot about all the small inconveniences in the house, becase Rui made us spend a great time in Sao Jorge and if you read this, Rui, thank you very much!

The location is perfect. The room was renovated and very clean. The owners are very nice people, helpful. We had certain issues with our vacation planing and they actively found a way how to ease our inconvenience for our satisfaction. The family runs the hotel for more than 40 years.

What an amazing location! The architecture is so unique, you have perfect views from all the rooms. Everything is clean. The breakfast is very tasty with local food. Maria and her husband are so kind! Maria’s husband makes delicious homemade marmelade, and was also kind enough to take us to our ferry in the morning. And the team prepared us a breakfast to go, when we had to leave early in the morning to catch our ferry. We would highly recommend!

The room was a short walk to anything in town. There’s also cafe with one of the better menu offerings in town right next to the hotel. My favourite amenity was the room’s large balcony with a great view of Pico. The staff is friendly and helpful. I asked lots of questions.

The suite has 2 decent sized bedrooms with king beds (2 twins together), which were very comfortable. One bedroom had a 3 piece ensuite bathroom and the other 3 piece bathroom was just down the hall from the 2nd bedroom. The kitchen had great appliances, including a washer and clothing steamer. We really enjoyed the patio area with inside views of the courtyard. It was a great location where we could easily walk to the gardens, harbour and shopping area.
