we're a family of 5 and have taken the big room for 5 nights. the place is absolutely great and the hosts were SUPER! (both very nice, helpful and generous), our children referred to hosts as grandpa and grandma!. the location was really good to explore Serra da Estrella national park, everything being a maximum of 1 hour drive away (most places 30-45 minutes). there is great garden with hammocks and a small swimming pool and a central kitchen with all facilities. there are even 5 bicycles in the garage to get around Villa Verde. big LIKE.

the house is extremely comfortable with large rooms tastefully furnished. Very quiet, with access both to the corridors but also to the garden. the garden is beautifully laid out and a restful oasis after a day’s sightseeing or for a day beside the pool. The pool is very clean and big enough for a little swim and perfect to cook down from the Portuguese sun.
