Set in a rural location in a calm town of Silves. Very relaxing and extremely clean property. Martha and Roberto were very welcoming and keen to make us comfortable in a very genuine way. They clearly enjoy running this B&B and pay close attention to our every need. It was attentive but not intrusive. Breakfast was amazing- all organic which we love and a good amount of choice. Many homemade jams, variety of breads. Baked cakes - different each day. Freshly squeezed juice. Variety of eggs for breakfast. And dairy free options too.

Wonderful hosts providing superb B&B accomodation in a tastefully renovated country farmhouse in an idyllic Portuguese countryside setting. This was the first stop on our 2 week Portuguese holiday and we would have been happy to stay longer. Karen was so friendly and provided great suggestions for restaurants and activities in the area. The breakfast was more than enough and yum. The freshly squeezed juice from local oranges and homemade marmalade were wonderful treats. The pool provided a perfect way to cool off and relax after exploring Silves, only a few kilometres away, or visiting the beaches of the Algarve. This was perfect accommodation for us, a couple looking for comfortable, quiet accommodation to relax in, after busy days exploring.

Gustavo and Miguel were great hosts and are LGBTQ+ friendly. We enjoyed not being in a tourist hotspot and on the countryside, but could easily reach breathtaking beaches and other destinations by car. The house is charmingly decorated and the pets are adorable. Our hosts, who also live in the house, gave us very good tips and were generous by taking us with them to an event with their friends. If we didn't go to a restaurant, we used the well-equipped kitchen to cook meals. The hosts also offer making smoothies with their local grown fruits, which were excellent.

We loved it! This place is a gem - and my boyfriend and I had an amazing time at the Gato Preto de Silves. We would love to come back anytime. The staff is really nice, the vibe is relaxing, it's private and just an all in all an absolute hidden gem!

Extremely pleasant stay in Silves. Hosts were friendly, willing to help with everything. I was travelling with my mother who really enjoyed the stay and praised the accommodation. We will visit again some time!

Mrs Helena is very helpful, she explained everything to me on arrival. I stayed only one night and the place had very few customers so I guess I was very much at ease. I could park the car inside the premises. The location is excellent. There is a restaurant 200 metres to the right with excellent roasted chicken.

Perfect value for money! Very welcoming and friendly host. Free parking in front of the house. There is the shared kitchen with refrigerator. Pet friendly. Nice terrace and orange tree garden. Good breakfast included.
