Everything was perfect, from the moment we got of the train at Covelinhas station (do yourself a favour and take the train from Porto, unique experience) where we were met by Nunu, to Christina’s amazing food, the pool, the wine, the location, the view… Our stay here was simply amazing. It felt like home away from home, an intimate experience so different from larger hotels. We thank Christina and Nunu for the stay, and we hope to come back another time.

Warm welcome and hospitality of Sofia, also she was a perfect travel guide and advised special tours around wine, culture and nature, to get to know the real douro, the love for details in house and garden, also my dog was welcome, the breakfast was incredible with a lot of varieties and of course seasonal fresh fruits and veggies from the garden, also homemade dinners available for the guests with local products

You wind up the hill on a narrow road, and turning around to go the other way is not easy, but then that is what it is like throughout the Douro as soon as you leave the main road along the river. The room is small but very clean, and there was an excellent breakfast basket delivered each morning, so we ate overlooking the river.

Hosts were very friendly. On arrival we got a glass of delicious port wine from their own cultivation. Excellent breakfast in the patio with fresh fruit, delicious bread, cold cuts, cheese, homemade jam ... nothing was missing.
