This accommodation was very pleasant, the owners were looking afer us more than one can expect. They were unbelievably nice and willing to help and comfort us any time. Their offered breakfasts were very rich - fresh fruit from the orchard variety of food to choose from and also drinks of different kinds. Which was an excellent start of the day.

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed into this well loved home. Host Rita shared the history and stories of this family home. Such a beautiful place to relax or explore the beautiful countryside and cute villages around - or both.

The Quinta is a magical tucked-away place. We were warmly welcomed by Fernando offering a 'welcome drink' which turned out to be a bottle of his delicious wine and a large plate of cheese and charcuterie - a meal really. We were the only guests and enjoyed relaxing by the pool and swimming in the river. The river is dammed and deep, perfect for a proper swim of several 100m. We seemed to have the whole river to ourselves (except for the fish and the herons).The nearby cycle path is a bonus and there are reasonable bikes for guests' use. Breakfast was delicious and we were able to enjoy it on the terrace. The whole stay was just really relaxing. We didn''t want to take the car out once we got there and we were able to have a small barbecue in a summer kitchen area near the pool. I think I panicked Fernando by asking if I could stay for ever!

We stayed here 5 nights with a family of four (two children of 9 and 12). We enjoyed the friendly countryside atmosphere. First three nights in the villa with private pool and last two nights in bungalow next to hotel. Both very nice. We loved the breakfast. Great location to explore north Portugal (Porto, Braga, Guimares, national parks, hiking, etc). And do not forget to check out the nice little garden with fountains behind the pool...

Everything was great! Daniel, the host, was very welcoming and friendly and made our stay amazing. The house is very comfortable and cosy, nicely decorated, and it feels like home. We ended our stay with fresh orange juice and coffee offered by Daniel. Great experience!
