The novelty of it being an ex signal box, but also exceptionally clean and bright. Bathroom was great, loved the floor tiles. The bed was very comfortable, with lovely surroundings and gracious hosts.

Beautiful and immaculately presented old cottage, warm and friendly host who has jam-packed the place with thoughtful embellishments such as fresh produce from the garden and woollen slippers to wear on a cold nght.

Our stay was great. Julie was awesome and made us feel right at home. Our little cottage was super clean, and breakfast items were right in our room ready for the next morning. Highly recommend this cottage.

A great place, very peaceful. The grounds are beautiful. The unit is immaculately kept, very comfortable, and the hospitality was great. Home baked goodies, freshly squeezed orange juice from the orchard, and very generous hosts. Plus, a really gorgeous part of the country which is truly worth visiting! Although this site says there's no Wifi, in actual fact, there is. It can be a bit intermittent at times, but it's a small price to pay for the beauty of this location on the Whanganui River.

Very filling breakfast. Robes and slippers supplied. Had our own lounge with tea/coffee/cold drinks, TV etc.

Andrew and Penny were very welcoming. Even let us partake in dinner with them. Very nice and enjoyable. Penny showed us her marvellous garden. Beautiful house.

We loved everything about our stay here. The accommodations are outstanding and our host Maryann is the best. Friendly and so sweet. The breakfast was fabulous. The home is cozy and comfortable. The architecture of this old house is stunning.

Lovely old world charm through out the house but with modern facilities too. We really enjoyed our stay. Was enough room for all or our family to be together.

No breakfast offered as it was winter low season. We were happy to self cater using the attached hostel common area.(which by the way had comfortable sitting area with television, as did the gracious formal lounge reserved for B&B guests.)A really nice , grand and gracious old property undergoing renovations. Warm, spacious bedroom with french doors out onto balcony.
