I love the history of the land and the home, as well as all the detailed touches on the property. I can't wait to see the garden in the summer. The owners are very friendly and kind—they are the perfect example of Dutch hospitality. Breakfast was amazing, too. I loved the bedding! This is a 5-star Bed and Breakfast! The location in a large separate room above in a horse riding hall is very special. You have a wonderful vieuw over the fields seeing the horses grasing. The place is silent and clean and if you want you are for yourself. A hiking way through the open space and the water is nearby. You can canou or- you can take a riding lesson by the very friendly and helpfully owner and teacher. By car Groningen is easy to reach. So you are deep in nature and close to the city. Be prepared that the nice bathroom is to reach going to an other barn.

The property lies on the outskirts of Groningen downtown however city center it is very well reachable by a short walk and even better with a bike that you can rent on the spot. We stayed in a tent and it was interesting to be woken up by a peacock sitting at the tent entrance early in the morning. The ambience was quite relaxing and offers an extraordinary experience feeling like an oasis in a desert. We figured we should visit this place every now and then to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
