Arriving at De Olde Signorie is seeing that you're in the heart of Leeuwarden. Access by car is easy, and the secluded private parking is great. Once you enter the building, you'll see that recently renovated rooms kept their historic roots and are beautifully decorated and equipped with nice facilities: large screen tv, bluetooth speaker, but also a soft blanket near the couch that can warm 2 people. The bed is fantastic with great pillows: a guarantee for a good sleep. Breakfast is served in a location near De Olde Signorie, and we can recommend it: it's a special place with great breakfast buffet.

Everything has been thought of and there are little drinks and treats available. The room is large and has a nice atmosphere. The hostess is also very helpfull and friendly. I came only for one night but hope to be back for longer.

Situated in the beautiful tranquil Martenastate heritage site, this B&B exceeded all my expectations. The little village of Cornjum is an absolute must to visit for anyone who wants to experience old-world charm. The surrounding gardens, woods, even the little Nicolaaskerk and churchyard, are so peaceful.
