The little village of Cornjum is an absolute must to visit for anyone who wants to experience old-world charm. The surrounding gardens, woods, even the little Nicolaaskerk and churchyard, are so peaceful.

We did not have breakfast. We were fully self catering. It was lovely and warm in the house- good heating. We were attending a dog show with our dogs so it was perfect for that. It was not luxurious but very comfortable. The landlady told us about a local event so we were able to see the traditional arrival by boat of St Nicholas in the nearby village.

Although brief we enjoyed our stay. The room was very appointed with good facilities. The shower was great. The bed was very comfortable and the setting very quiet. We were made to feel very welcome by our host. We were provided with a lovely breakfast. The host has paid a lot of attention to getting everything right.
