The location is excellent, right in town, very near to restaurants, zocalo, market etc. Found it because it was near the starting point of a tour I booked, which was also excellent btw (By Locals). The staff was helpful, specially the guy who welcomes us (don’e recall his name :( curly haired and there most of the day. He is probably the nicest, friendliest and most helpful hotel personnel I have ever met. The hotel is small, but all we needed was a place to sleep since the trip was short and I wanted to be out exploring most of the day. However, the room has absolutely everything you need and very clean. Ac, tv, bathroom, wifi, comfy bed and pillows. Totally recommend.

I recently had a 3 night stay at la casa Carlota and let me just say that at the end of my stay I was absolutely satisfied with my stay here actually more than satisfied! I also want to mention that I have stayed at other nearby hotels in Oaxaca and la casa Carlota has been the experience that has been the most memorable. This place is not only beautifully designed, but so comfortable. (Looks just like their pictures) Their breakfast was my favorite part ! They served something different every morning and my family and I loved it 🙌 and don’t let me get started on their staff. They have the SWEETEST most welcoming staff ! They made my family and I feel extremely comfortable. They will make your stay there 100x better, with amazing recommendations, friendly interactions, accommodations. I genuinely felt so cared about and I have never felt so welcomed ! Also honorable mention to Dulce she is the sweetest soul ! She is truly amazing ! She helped us with any questions and just went above and beyond. You won’t be disappointed with your stay here if you decide to book ! I highly recommend. It is close to the center, beautifully decorated, the sweetest staff, and great breakfast. My stay in the City of Oaxaca was amazing and I am so happy that La Casa Carlota was apart of it. Loved it.

Absolutely lovely stay here. Massiel and Oscar both made such an effort to make my stay perfect, they were so friendly and helpful! I loved it! It’s in a quiet suburb about a 20 taxi ride to the centre. I walked in a few times and it was a very pleasant walk of around an hour, you can also get the bus if you want a Mexican public transport experience. The breakfast set me up nicely for the day and having the restaurant on site is quite handy. There are one or two local shops nearby too.

Staff is very helpful and attentive, pays attention to safety. Nice, basic rooftop to chill. Great choice for travelers looking for private suite that like peace and quiet. It’s not a hostel if one’s looking some social interactions.

The location is a bit further up the hill in the Volcanes district, so you’ll avoid the crowded city center. Elu was a great host, she helped us with getting taxis and the right buses and made awesome hot chocolate! The place has also a really nice terrace and everything was super clean and comfortable. There are some really good and cheap Taquerias nearby, also laundry shops, a pharmacy and small shops are just around the corner.

The hotel's plan forms two adjoining quadrangles, one for the lounge and breakfast area and, one for the rooms. Both spaces were quiet, elegant and beautiful. The hotel's location is within the charming colonial city centre. Everywhere we wanted to go was a short walk away.
