It was our first visit of Toscany and Monti Guesthouse was the perfect choice. Two ladies who decided to renovate old house from 17th century. They are very nice and friendly, ready advise and share their tips what to see around. The house is full of history with amazing atmosphere. We really loved that place and we wish to come back one day. Please visit restaurant Da Beatrice which is located approximately 3 minutes by walk. The best Italian restaurant we have ever been. Another reason to stay in Monti Guesthouse

The location was a bit hard to find but that was mainly a fault on our side (I hadnt read the note that was sent to me and I didnt expect the entrance of the size of the castello to be just a common front door🙈). After we finally got in the place it was beyond expectations. The rooms were all filled with furniture from the past which at first gave the feeling we were entering a museum. When we were shown our room and bathroom we were suprised. The bathroom (which was in a tower from the 13th century) was renovated with absolutely beautiful plasterwork. The bed were of such comfort that we felt such relieve after the travel weve had over our past week. The next morming we had breakfast which was astonishing. I've never really been a breakfast person myself but all this breakfast was delicious. My partner hoped for boiled eggs and when we sat down the hostes askes if we wanted any without asking. After breakfast and right before we left we even got our private tour around the entire castello. The gate, the garden, the kitchen in the cellar. As a history geek it felt like sinking back the ages, everything was just perfect.

Staying here was unforgettable. The place is extremely clean, the room super tidy and cute and the bathroom modern but with a cozy/homey vibe. The shower is amazing and its cabine spacious. The hosts are extremely easy going, friendly and wanna make sure we have a great time. In the morning we went outside and then on the garden our breakfast was ready for us. Few minutes later the hosts ask us about our hot drink preferences and bring the drinks to the table. The parking space is great considering Italian standards. The village has 2 popular restaurants and they’re really good! To top it off they let us leave our luggage during the day after the check out. I felt like we had a truly Italian experience provided by amazing people who love what they do. To the hosts: thank you so much for the great hospitality. 😊

If you are doing the Via Francigena or just hiking through the area and are tired of hostels, cheap B&B"s, tenting or whatever, treat yourselves to a night or two at Bed an Bike. The apartment is large, modern, well equipped, super clean with aircon, nice well equipped kitchen with fridge, coffee maker etc. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is fantastic. Best I had on the whole Francigena. You pick it off a list, savoury or sweet, and it's delivered to your door in the morning. There is a nice little pizzeria down the road where I got a pizza, beer and large bottle of water for Euro 11

Robert is an excellent host giving loads of information on where to visit in the locality. The house has a very relaxed feel and it's temperature inside (we were there in mid July when temperature was 33/34 degrees) was nice and cool. Its a great experience staying at gingerbread b&b. We'll done Robert and family, great job.
