The location was great! The host family was so kind and helpful. They gave us excellent tips for exploring the park which saved us a lot of time. The owner was amazing! Very helpful with everything we needed. He heated up the room before we got there so it was really warm all night long. He also made us a very tasty breakfast in the morning! I don't know where to start with this review because it was our greatest accomodation experience untill now. The room, the smell, the services were all extraordinary good. Everything was perfect, but it can't be other way that the guests of this beautiful place. And if i mentioned that the place is awesome, the guests of it are above these words. They will take care of you so that you would have the best time in Plitvice. The guests/stuff are also the owners of this awesome place so you will be treated wit much warm even from your arrival. About the food: they cook the best chiken I've ever eaten. By these means I want to thank you again good people for being our guests in Plitvice. This is a family home and I really felt welcomed. It was a nice place to stay and I enjoyed meeting Elvira (mom) and Nina (daughter). As a family they are also working on projects to make the property even better. The room was very quiet, and warm (it was a bit of a surprise to me how chilly it got at night in August). They were nice enough to put the tea kettle in my room so I can make tea at night and in the morning. The breakfast (extra 10 euro) was really nice! eggs, toast, cheese, meats, fruit, and even fresh tomatoes right there from their garden. The best thing about this property is that it is a 10 min walk from the auxiliary entrance (Entrance 3) to the Plitvice Park. Please *plan ahead* and get your ticket printed or on your phone. They WILL check there. (The entire park has staff and entrances and boat shuttles that will check your ticket). Elvira was kind enough to also let me keep my luggage there so I could go to the park all day and I returned at 4 pm to collect my belongings and then go to the bus station for onwards trip. the shower was nice and hot. There is no real view from the room. Also it the Ethno Village hotel and restaurant is at the end of the driveway so I ate there. There are not a lot of other options for meals nearby if on foot. (With a car it is easier) .
