David and Marieke are lovely hosts and they did a great job with the place. It feels like you went back in time, away from this modern world, loud and crowded. Peacefull place indoors and outdoors. The road up there is a little bumpy and quite long, but the destination is well worth it. We arrived late in the evening and after getting worried that we missed the road or we'd end in some abandoned place, we were surprised to find a welcoming cozy place like The Merchants' House. Entering the room was a total exciment for my 12 years old son to discover every corner if it and who bragged about being the one to say Yes to this accomodation, even if, on the map, it seemed far away from the beaches. Next morning, we were amazed with the "royal breakfast" and "royal service".🥰 We switched 3 accommodations during our 8 days vacation in Corfu, but The Merchants' was the best, the cleanest, the friendliest.🥰 Thank you, Marieke and David for making our stay sooooo so relaxing and exquisite.👑🎩

All I can say is wow! Lovely and cozy room that was nicely furnished, extraordinarily clean, and very comfortable. I was given a free room upgrade, which was a nice surprise, so I ended up having a nice little private sitting area with a view of the harbour. Screens on the windows and back door were nice to allow a lovely breeze in the room but not mosquitoes. Just steps away from the main little road but far enough away that you'll have plenty of peace and quiet. I didn't meet Luigi in person but he was always available, really communicative, and just an all around a friendly and helpful person. Highly highly recommended!

The little kitchen was well equipped and we were able to make breakfast, lunch and simple dinners there. The hotel is in a good location (just minutes from acharavi beach) and a short walk from the shops. Despite being in a great location it was very quiet and peaceful at the hotel which we loved.

It is close to the beach in a very good area of Acharavi city. Near that are many supermarkets and restaurants . The room was welcoming and had a nice balcony , a kitchenette and a private bathroom. Small shop about 2 mins walk from the villa sells the essentials.

Good WiFi. Varied breakfast every day. Quite a few people staying but always quiet and peaceful. All staff were great. Felt like family. Pool was large and warm. Never any issues in getting a lounger. Town centre five min walk. Beach max ten min. Touristy Greek Night was good fun with tasty buffet. Fat e-bike rental just outside the hotel. Well worth taking one for the day to see the beaches and countryside.

Very spacious villa, great host who was always available but left us to it. Local town was nice (10-15 min walk) and with a car it is easy to get anywhere on the island inc. Corfu Old town.
