Niall was so welcoming and accomodating and the room is exactly as described with a gorgeous view of the beach and a stones throw from a restaurant, takeaway, pub, and post office! It is a perfect location to explore Islay and just around the corner from the start of the 3 distilleries walk.

The Trout Fly Guest House offers accommodation in the centre of Port Ellen, minutes from the ferry terminal and only 3 miles from our local airport.

Our host was extremely knowledgeable and was on top of the ferry schedule changes. The shower was excellent and the room very comfortable. Great location in Port Ellen.

Quiet, clean with a top notch location, this guesthouse provided the perfect HQ for our six days on Islay. Beds were comfy, kitchen well equipped (full stove and oven).
