Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating as we arrived after the kitchen had closed, but they were able to rustle up a sandwich for us. We were made very welcome and it was handy being able to go to the bar and have access to the Wifi, though this didn't reach the room. Very good about us having taken our dogs with us. Shall definitely be returning at some point.

The manager arranged to let me in before they opened and gave me somewhere to change for the wedding I was going to. One of the staff offered to drive me back to the wedding venue to collect my car! Exceptional.

Grove Farm is situated off the beaten track in a delightfully quiet part of the countryside with beautiful views. It is a real home full of character, and we received a warm welcome from David and Penny who were most attentive to our needs, as well as providing useful information about interesting places to visit and good places to eat. Breakfasts were delicious! We would love to go back there again.

I had not booked an adjoining room but this was offered which was perfect for us (mother and daughter). Food was really good and a nice choice of wines and drinks. Able to book a table in advance online at a time to suit. Accommodation was very clean and comfortable. You are able to sit outside your room (in a private shared courtyard) if only the weather had been better. Located on a fairly quiet road and easy to find via satnav.JJacquiFamily with young children

Cooking over a camp fire was great fun make sure you take your lanterns and torches etc for the night! All in all we loved every minute. Henry is a great host we didn't get to meet Rachel on this occasion but will definitely return.

Unfortunately we had to leave very early the next day so were unable to enjoy the breakfast which looked very appealing. The room was set back from the pub and the road which made it private and quiet. All the staff were really friendly and helpful.

The rooms were separate from the pub in a courtyard and although near a busy road was very quiet. The inside of the pub was lovely and quaint. Susan who waited on was a breath of fresh air and totally made our stay! And her mum waited on at breakfast too and was so lovely. Those are the kinds of staff the pub needs to keep hold of and value. Food was fab - we all had pies which were delicious. All in all a lovely stop off on the way home from Devon.MoiraPeople with friends
