A great location and stop on the Hadrian's Wall Path, excellent breakfast and optional dinner, I wish I had a reason to stay in the area for a few days to take advantage of the beautiful setting. I didn't expect a large sitting room with kitchen as well as a bedroom.

The Inn is clean, well-kept, and very pleasant. The owner who greeted me was lovely and welcoming. It is in a good location to get to the co-op nearby and other restaurants. The room was quite big and the bathroom was immaculate. The bathroom was also quite spacious which I wasn’t expecting. Finally, the kitchen was large and easy to make food in. After trekking on the wall, this inn was a welcomed relief.

Amazing stay. Staff sooo friendly and helpful and so kind to our dog too. (He didn't want to leave). The restaurant does great a la carte breakfast and we had dinner there too. Lovely location with good walks nearby. Very quiet at night which we enjoyed. Room spotless. Great value for money

OMG the Ship Inn is wonderful- we can’t wait to go back. Joanne the owner is the most accommodating and friendly person, she really has this place running on full speed, our waitress Hannah, not only a talented musician but a friendly and attentive waitress. The food is wonderful, traditional yet touch of gourmet - really good. Our room was clean, light and airy, all one needs after a day of hiking !! The Ship Inn is lovely set in the centre of a beautiful English village,

Parking was great very secure as I had race bikes in my van , checked in straight away and just left keys on check out

Situated in a area close to the local bus route that allow for easy transportation, close enough to to central Newcastle the taxis/ubers are fairly priced. Very clean room, and Kim was great and provided us with extra towels along with information about the busses and provided a number for a taxi company that could be trusted. Overall 10/10 stay and would 100% stay again

Beautiful house in an idyllic location. Hostess was charming and even provided us with a plant cutting to take home! Luxurious room with the largest bathroom I have ever seen! Sky on tv and were even offered cake on arrival. Lovely breakfast taken in separate dining room downstairs.

The location was perfect and to say it was right near the airport and roads leading to it, it was quite quiet. Lovely cottage that felt homely, the room was just what I needed and it was comfy. The lady as lovely who runs it and price was worth it. I will definitely be keeping this property in mind for further stays

comfy bed , clean room , good lighting , good shower rooms and very clean , toilets clean , use of a kitchen and warm room (heater if needed) tv good (smart tv), parking provided and friendly and helpful staff , cant wait to go again , reccomend to everyone
