On arrival we were warmly greeted by Vance, who kindly offered to help us with our luggage. They room was spotlessly clean with an amazing ensuite shower room, which looked as though it had recently been fully refurbished. After a peaceful night, we were treated to an excellent breakfast, personally prepared by David, as good as any we've served in a 5* Hotel. Topped off with a fabulous pot of coffee, as we took in the expansive views of the countryside and watched the donkeys.

My host and hostess, too, were absolutely wonderful, and their house an aladdin's cave of beautiful art, rustic furniture and antiques. A really other-worldly place to stay, with a prayerful atmosphere ideally suited to pilgrims to the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.
