The staff were incredibly friendly, the room was newly redecorated and lovely, spacious, and comfortable. The pub downstairs had a fun quiz night on and the breakfast included with the room price was substantial and yummy. Easy to find, fantastic and peaceful location. Ample parking space in the yard. Very friendly welcome and tour of the appartment, with spacious living room and kitchenette, King size bed, and bathroom equipped with both bath tub and shower! Access to Garden terrace with wonderful views over the fells and plenty of tourist info and advice for the immediate and surrounding areas. Also have to mention the very tasty, home-made Victoria Sponge welcome cake and fresh eggs waiting for us upon arrival. All in all, everything you could wish for, for a very peaceful and relaxing weekend away from the stress and bustle of modern life, but still with plenty of attractions and towns to visit (including Beamish), just a stones throw away.
